On 12-28-25, a comment on an Enlightened Prisoner comment claimed the 40 years high of inflation was the result of our last presidential administration and caused the Enlightened Prisoner to respond thus:
If you must wonder why, recall that the powers of that previous administration (and several before) were confounded of purpose by the constraints of Congressional indolence to express power instead of workable compromise. And that phenomenon continues which brought us to the era of Executive Order governance that overwhelms our Judicial Branch trying to find compromise.Pages

On 12-20-25, a fed-up Enlightened Prisoner wrote thus:
I have lived long enough to know that no President in that time, (starting with Dwight Eisenhower), has used the public platform afforded them to hurl abusive hate speech at fellow citizens and other world societies. The brutish and immature personality of Donald Trump is little but a connived method to cover his inadequacies and criminal conduct. He has thoroughly soiled the dignity of the office of President that true Americans hold in high esteem. His disregard for the adopted Constitutional governance of this country must have consequences. The path being taken by our Supreme Court must recognize their obligation to enforce the rule of law and not abide the whims of a power-hungry despot.

On 12-6-25, the Washington Post penned an article on Trump's public statements that describe a rosy economy and his ability to uptick our countries financial future, and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:
Yes, I too find it extremely difficult to accept Trump's analysis of the economy when you consider he's just another headline grabbing politician who's never been in a store to shop for living essentials and lives a privileged life removed from the reality the rest of us face every day. Sad

On 12-1-25, the Washington Post penned an article about: "How does SpeechNow.org V FEC impacted the role of Super PACs in American elections", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:
In the dissenting opinion for Citizens United, we were reminded that our lawmakers have a compelling constitutional basis. So, influence of the elected Congressional or Executive Branch or even Judicial Branch members by corporations or contributors to super PACs is problematic. Because they may be managed or controlled by non-residents and their interests may conflict in fundamental respects with the interests of eligible voters. Does that give you cause to worry about the problem? It should because it's been laid out very clearly in news reports.
This whole matter of campaign funding should be designated a responsibility of Congress that need to construct the tools of law. The Supremes judge what's fair and contributes to candidates all being given a fair shake at expressions of their qualifications and competency, not that they use a monied platform to control public media for use in condemnation of opponents.
