On 9-15-26, the Washington Post penned the story that: "ICE is quietly firing new hires. For one recruit, it was devastating." And on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The governmental abuse of process and waste of resources in using the taxpayers' dime to recruit, (with bonus of $50K), vetted, (220K applicants?), trained and equipped, (equipped? Sure. Trained adequately? Hardly), the best of the best to capture the worst of the worst could not have been performed by any competent government agency. The Trump administration has fielded the most amateurish administration government in history, so they again achieved another flat failure. And they believe you should elect them again?

On 8-14-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump says the Strait of Hormuz is open. But how much oil is really going through?", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Trump says... Trump says; how much of this rhetoric nonsense must the public endure. When the very information comes from a single source who's record of truth and accuracies are well documented to have been lies and bluster? And his answers to the hard questions from news media sources for verifying his claims only result in childish tantrum shutdowns laced with name-calling.

Thursday, September 3, 2026

On 9-3-26, the Washington Post penned an article that an "ICE agent charged with lying to investigators in nonfatal Minneapolis shooting", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Oh, gee whiz, the Department of Justice image-makers have found an underling to brand outlaw and throw under the bus. A peek at image-remake or let's act nice for the press and get publicity for the mid-term elections? Or more likely, they want him under their custody control to keep him away from honest law enforcement agencies? Only the Shadow knows.

Wednesday, September 2, 2026

On 9-2-26, the Washington Post penned an article that, "The Supreme Court’s ballroom decision pits power against beauty", and on that date the Enlighted Prisoner responded thus:

There's a national consciousness here that is being ignored by Trump lickspittles who would sit on their hands while the President who occupies an office of subservientness to the People's elected bullies our country into his personal playfield. We are the masters of our fate and it happens each election. Choose wisely and elect those who answer for the character and wisdom of their role, not the power of control or a theme to denigrate the opposition.

Tuesday, September 1, 2026

On 9-1-26, the Washington Post penned an article that, "The Army, Navy and Air Force have lost their leaders under Hegseth," and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The unanswered question here is, just what are Hegseth and the Trump administration's unrevealed plans for our huge military budget. The enormous costs experienced to now for military actions have little to do with defense from an active foreign incursion but seem intent on serving Trump's agenda and oversized ego. Everything Hegseth has put into military operation mode has neither the approval of our People's House of Congress, our international allies, nor the support of a large majority of our polled electorate. Put that question to the Trump administration and all you'll get is lies and very deflective or garbled comment about illusionary threats.

On 8-31-26, the Enlightened Prisoner had a message to share:

Recently, a MAGA acquaintance loudly proclaimed that Trump has done nothing wrong.  The press is just putting out fake news, and you can't provide any evidence about him doing anything wrong.

Well, (I started), the President's amoral behavior is a matter of public record by several accredited media that have always provided source material to confirm what they report.  There was no evidence given that those things were false other than the President's public denial given without source or backing from a legitimate witness that was offered for media cross examination.  The occasions of such behavior reports exceed the space available to list but include the unpublished Epstein Report, the evidence that resulted in a civil conviction for the sexual assault on E. Jane Carroll and ed al.

The two impeachment orders brought up in Congress were very strong in the face of evidence offered in support.  The Senate only agreed to find him innocent by procedural vote.  No evidence was ever offered to dispute the evidence or was cross exam of witness statements even conducted.

Likewise, the bipartisan finding by the January 6th, 2021, events Special Committee findings of Trump directly affecting the mob that illegally entered and vandalized the Congressional Chambers in order to try and force the overturning of Presidential Election votes.

The pardon of the many participants in the January 6th mob event that were tried and convicted of their criminal behavior, vandalism damage to Federal property, assaults on police, and failures to disburse with no evidence offered that could justify pardon action.  His claim of a weaponized DOJ under Biden is as empty and false as the face he shores up with pancake makeup.

On 8-31-26, the Washington Post penned an article that, "Democrats want the midterms to be about Trump. He does, too." and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Before Trump Senate leader McConnell held the Republican war chest for use in keeping Republican Congressional elected in line with party agenda. And that’s what it’s about folks. An Independent legislative member is too dangerous to party power. Yep, it’s all about the money and the Supreme Court’s endorsement of that with their “Citizens United” decision is on display. Under the control of a deranged leader occupied with narcissistic rage taking us to the dark side of politics!

On 8-29-26, the Reuters News Service penned an article that the Governor of Wyoming was upset that the federal monitors sent to observe their state's primary were making unrealistic requests of Wyoming election officials and showing disrespect for Wyoming's authority.  And on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Confirmation again that this Republican administration's enablers have become a cadre of brats and bullies in their conduct and treatment of the nation's laws; in their opinion. The next step in their playbook is that even a conservative state like Wyoming is so prone to prevent federal monitoring of elections to prevent fraud, then Wyoming must be protecting illegal voting. Therefore, the nation guard and ICE armed and menacing troops must be called in to protect the federal government's enforcement of all local election boards. And Congress, (which is currently controlled by the Republican cadre) would need to decide election fraud and retain the current elected in place. Beginning to see the possibilities here citizens?

On 8-29-26, the Washington Post penned the article that: "Trump lauded low prices at Freedom Fuel. A supplier says some gas wasn’t paid for." and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

What did you expect? When such shoddy business practices are attributed to businessman Trump and those watchful and calculating of their own opportunities see his public admissions that I can get away with anything makes "crime does pay" seem more likely. Oh, what a valueless society the likes of Trump has turned US into.

Friday, August 28, 2026

On 8-28-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "The White House says its ballroom is 65% complete. Its documents suggest otherwise." and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Trump's administration has used various scare and intimidation techniques of court and licensing threats to keep the media reporting in sanitized fashion and in dread of economic disaster to its Billionaire owners and stockholder Boards of Directors. That alone is a tactic that violates the freedom of an unfettered press that is a Constitutional guarantee. The Republicans elected to Congress who fail to see the grounds for impeachment which that malfeasance represents are causing a crisis that is turning this country's governance into a shade of social and authoritarian governing dominance. The ignorance (or more probable) arrogance of our conservative SCOTUS members to ignore that is absurd and also impeachable.

Monday, August 24, 2026

On 8-24-26, the Washington Post penned the article "Entitlement ‘insolvency’ is right around the corner", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

And now we have the three branches of government under control of the Republican political party. We should thank the Washington Post for providing an analysis of how poorly our state of domestic tranquility has become under their stewardship.

Saturday, August 22, 2026

On 8-22-26 the Washington Post had penned an article that the "Trump administration moves to strip bar association’s power to accredit law schools", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Still another culture attack, (lacking merit but a lot of personal bias), by this administration on our country's educational institutes for disagreement with their political agenda. Frankly, why would you pay any attention to a notice of educational changes for the professional committee's advice to our legal system's education. The notice comes from an administration with the worst record of adjudication wins from its own legal staff, and originates from the leadership of its Executive Head, (the President), with a public confidence level probably due for getting even lower than its current 33%. Tell 'em to pound sand.

Wednesday, August 19, 2026

On 8-19-26, the Washington Post penned an article on Presidential remarks made on the recent conditions aboard the Aircraft Carrier Lincoln, "How Trump’s dismissive comment could damage GOP chances in a key House race", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

There's a very good and logical reason that Trump has earned, (let me repeat that), earned today the lowest performance rating of any modern president in history. And it's not connected to his performance of official duties, (little as they are), but rather to his crass and classless performance as a human being.

On 8-18-26, the Washington Post Editorial Board penned an article on the national debt called: "Washington’s $40 trillion milestone", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"Politicians are addicted to making promises that require sources of money they don’t have. Their failure to control spending remains one of the biggest threats to the country. If only the $40 trillion milestone could be a wake-up call."
Alright, you've said it. Now back it up and point the fingers that need to tell us you're doing your watchdog responsibility. You're letting this Trump administration off the hook for far too many things that a responsible administration should be transparent with. You are in effect keeping this democracy in the dark. Now damn it, do the job you've proven in the past you're capable of.

Saturday, August 15, 2026

On 8-15-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump secretly switched planes. The journalists left aboard say they deserved a warning", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Trump has no room in his heart for anyone but Trump. His appearance of compassion is "trumped" up.

On 8-15-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Killings and other violent crimes dropped sharply in 2025", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Statistical data from our present governmental administration that is channeled mostly through a single source (Trump), through a non-governmental media platform (Truth Social or political rally), and is usually given without benefit of news media allowances for pertinent questions of cross-examination, certainly does not meet a criterion for reliability. And the fact that Trump, in this partial term of governance, (and members of his administration), have proven to be effective and prolific liars and with holders of factual information offers scant confidence in any or all news they publish. This story and most others get a "low" or "no confidence" vote from this citizen.

Friday, August 14, 2026

On 8-14-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump officials ask Supreme Court to let ballroom construction continue", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Just a reminder SCOTUS, the Constitution was not written to restrain citizen behavior. It was written to restrain government's behavior.

On 8-14-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "Truth Social’s sale of fast access to Trump posts draws legal concerns", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Why are the lickspittles in Congress and SCOTUS letting him get away with these unprincipled actions. Trump is doing illegal things, and our Constitution must contain something that gives us a path of correction without having to wait for an election mandate. The fact that he's already a convicted felon has to count for something.

Thursday, August 13, 2026

On 8-13-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt to leave administration", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

She was little more than the gatekeeper who provided the nonsensical statements that projected value to an administration which protected the truth, the administration's lack of transparency and absolute incompetence.

On 8-10-26, the Washington Post peened an article that the Washington DC US Attorney, "Pirro, in rare move, convenes special grand jury in Washington", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

I understand that Pro Publica recently contacted Trump by phone to ask about two residential properties he'd purchased (in Florida) for rentals and in mortgage papers listed them both as primary residence. He hung up on them. Is that like pleading the 5th? Maybe Pirro's looking into that???

Thursday, August 6, 2026

On 8-6-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Elon Musk's DOGE made big errors in claims of government savings, GAO finds", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The incompetency and immaturity of the White House staff within Trump's 2nd administration is documented in the book "Regime Change". It depicts Elon Musk as an unsupervised child let loose in his playground of the White House's Oval Office.

Sunday, August 2, 2026

On 8-2-26, the Washington Post penned the article, "As Trump cites progress on deal to end war, Iran and Israel remain on alert", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

This article lacks relevant content and only confirms what most thoughtful Americans already suspect. The least transparent Executive Branch administration in modern history enjoys no creditability on the value of what they claim.

Saturday, August 1, 2026

On 8-1-26, the Washington Post penned the article, "The last day of an American factory," and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The last thing in the world voters should be doing is comparing Trump to Biden. Trump stands alone as the most corrupt and amoral... ever!

Thursday, July 23, 2026

On 7-21-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "Trump adds condition to nuclear deal with Saudi Arabia, throwing pact into doubt", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

One of the greatest faux pas heard by a noted politician of dubious fame, "No one in the world does deals better than me".

Tuesday, July 14, 2026

On 7-14-26, an internet posting gave the Reuters news service credit for a full disclosure of the US District Court Judge's complete wording of the decision.  It fully explains the Department of Justice has lost all independence and is acting in Trump's behalf against the interests of the Constitution and the those of the American public.  It is reprinted here on behalf of the Enlightened Prisoner.

On Tuesday, Reuters reported that U.S. District Judge Kathleen Williams threw out Trump's settlement with the IRS (as overseen by DOJ), the one that granted Trump and family full immunity from IRS investigations and crimes arising in the past and could be read as applying into the future, though that detail is irrelevant because the entire deal has just been rendered irrelevant. Judge Williams threw the settlement out on the basis that the lawsuit didn't involve two adverse parties:

"This action was never about a party seeking judicial resolution of a legal issue or a factual dispute," Williams wrote. The judge said it was instead an attempt to "provide some legitimacy to an agreement to confer immunity to people and entities affiliated with the president and to earmark billions of dollars from American taxpayers to redress grievances not defined in the law."

Sunday, July 12, 2026

On 7-12-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Survivors of Iranian attack that killed 6 U.S. troops say generals ignored warnings", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Bahrain houses a 62 Acre base that has Middle East control of Naval operations. It contains a lot of personnel: 7600 active-duty military, 900 Department of Defense civilians, and about 1200 military family dependents. A very viable target. Yet the action against Iran was started with nothing done to protect the innocents. It was subjected to bombardment in retaliation and luckily no casualties of innocents. There was instant panic for their safety and an immediate evacuation order made to pack up and take them to Spain. Does that speak to Trump and his Department of War's concern for no one outside of his self-serving war against a belligerent but no threat to our country agenda?

Friday, July 10, 2026

On 7-10-26, the Washington Post penned an article on the Huston ICE incident of another shooting and the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

This is the kind of reaction that happens when the Chief promotes on social media about his record for the most immigrants being arrested and deported being the greatest for any President in our country's history?!?!  And all of his ICE thugs go to work to make it so.  I believe the worst of the worst are too smart for the likes of ICE, so they force incidents wherever they see "those kind of people".  We've been turned into a third world county being run by a mob boss.

Monday, July 6, 2026

On 7-6-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "White House report accuses Smithsonian museum of ‘extreme political activism’", and the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Our very best living historians for governing our nation are the 4 surviving Presidents, Biden, Obama, George W. Bush, and Clinton. They are all active friends and appear together frequently. However, none of the four consider Trump worthy of their friendship and frequently disagree with his policies and his Presidential performance. Do you not see the irony of this? Isn't it reason enough to suspect what is being wrought since Trump's elected status?

On 7-5-26, the CBS Sunday Morning TV show published the attempt by the Trump administration to take away the independence of published thought from the military's own newsprint journal, "Stars & Stripes", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The overreach of Trump's administration that seeks to force independent thought into their style of power and influence is the tactic of an imperialist regime. And the very tactic that converted Russia and China into Communist states. Beware my fellow citizens of what is happening in your country under the guise of a need to make our central government a stronger force than "WE The People".

Monday, June 29, 2026

On 6-29-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "Trump’s vision for White House park: 47 trees to mark his 47th presidency", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

How conveniently President Trump taps the US Treasury for the monies to fund his self-serving dalliances, (too numerous to list here). None of which has any approval from naught but Trump, his bootlicking staff and the strap hangers of his congressional cult, (names withheld to protect the guilty).

Monday, June 22, 2026

On 6-22-26, the Washington Post penned still another story on the failure of the President's Reflective Pond project and caused the following response from the Enlightened Prisoner.

The real story here is that a deraigned leader of the Executive Branch of OUR government is more occupied with throwing out blame excuses for failure of an insignificant pet project than repairing the significant damage he's inflicted on our national tranquility, our equality of justice, and the stature of our reputation as a nation on the eve of our 250th year of existence.

Saturday, June 20, 2026

On 6-20-26, the Enlightened Prisoner was moved to offer the following thought on the emerging strategy on Trump's mind, (the part that's smart enough to best serve his own interests).

I'm beginning to see some changes in the Trump attitude that I'm predicting have a motive.  He's never been one to pass off the "I'm in charge" image so latest publicity steps are giving more notice to the use of VP Vance and Marco Rubio being involved in governmental business.  And both are mentioned as the probably next in line Presidential candidates for the Presidential office he realizes is no longer in his sight due to age and health.

To retain their loyalty in the event he has that personal agenda enough in place that he can use the health excuse for a sympathetic resignation from office, then expect from them that which can't be had from Congress.  A pardon from the crimes committed while in office.  Mark my words.  It's the way a political mind would see to his pathic performance as President.

Tuesday, June 16, 2026

On 6-16-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "Records reveal $600M estimate for Trump’s ballroom project, with half from taxpayers", and on the date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Well, it's just my personal opinion but, when the chief executive officer for the Executive Branch of government creates and expresses publicly a lie, hiding the fact that he has tacitly approved the expenditure of public monies after assuring the public he would not, a line was crossed that makes the action a crime that satisfies cause for impeachment.

Wednesday, June 10, 2026

On 6-10-26, the Washington Post penned the article, "ICE detention camp endangered migrants and wasted millions, watchdog finds", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

And those elected Congressional representative members of the Republican Party who continue with keeping mouths shut and sit on their hands while their unhinged POTUS continues to desecrate the reputation of their Constituted Republic and continues emptying the country's treasury of their hard-earned tax dollars. Beginning to see the big picture yet citizens?

Friday, May 29, 2026

On 5-29-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "He hasn’t been seen in Congress for months. Now Republicans are worried." And on that date, the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

I think people are missing the big picture. Representative Kean may have found a way to avoid the ire of Trump by just vacating his Congressional vote. If someone disagrees with a Congressional action, they can register the vote as a non-vote. But then their intent is a matter of record for the ire of party leadership and the President. So, just maybe the Congressman has found a way to avoid that controversy. I'd call that an expression of the independence I appreciate in my Representative. This two-party quest for the power to do the party's bidding instead of what may best serve the interests of the country seems the Republican strategy for the many unpopular and self-serving political actions they've caused, and the reason for the rifts of societal division they have caused.

Thursday, May 28, 2026

On 5-28-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "Ex-CIA official allegedly stole $40 million in gold bars from spy agency", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

So, the FBI is onto a top-level CIA employee for incompetent credentials and lining his personal nest with government monetary resources? I think this is the first time I've also seen the good news of a legitimate FBI investigation that Cash Patel didn't personally conduct the news conference's announcement like he was on the job. Yet the Executive Branch's "Executive" continues to disallow vetting of any education, tax-records, medical stuff, or results of past investigational data's disclosure?

Sunday, May 24, 2026

On 5-24-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "As war evolves, more female troops make the ultimate sacrifice", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The compassion and duty felt by any first responder whether Military, Law Enforcement, Fire Responder, Medical Responder, or any other battle, accident or natural disaster responder is to serve the interests of their duty as they understand it.
The fact that a current government administration and their followers show public media regard for little, but their own interests, methods and inflated egos is a shame. And is not shared by those of us who have served the interests of our Constituted Republic in the past and recognize the dedication and sacrifices of today's generation who share the mission of duty to country and Constitution, not its governing body.

Friday, May 22, 2026

On 5-22-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "Judge drops criminal case against Kilmar Abrego García, ruling it vindictive", and on the date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

How fortunate we still have jurists who understand the Constitution's intent of law and justice in this great land. Which unfortunately is under the current control of the Trump cadre of Constitutional corrupters.

On 5-22-26, the Enlightened Prisoner designed the following for a bumper sticker or saying for print on a T-shirt:

Trump's business is about Trump, not about US.

Friday, May 15, 2026

On 5-14-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "Trump administration unveils new design for East Potomac golf course", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

So, we have an administration for our government's Executive Branch that can redesign golf courses in short order for public entertainment purposes but is unable to develop war planning for the invasion, regime change, effective military strategy, or provide for safety and welfare for the occupying civilian populations of Iran, Cuba or Venezuela. And you know what's worse? They aren't even able to adequately address the safety and welfare of the civilian population of their own civilian population. But boy are they able to jump on self-serving benefits.

Thursday, May 7, 2026

On 5-4-26, the Washington Post penned an article that "Internal ICE records reveal widespread use of force in detention centers", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Training has little to do with their abusive performance. Their's is an expression of rogue overbearing, mental inadequacies of compassion, and arrogance of purpose. All enhanced by a lack of procedures for record of actions. And that is a failure of supervision/management accountability and oversight.

Thursday, April 30, 2026

On 4-29-26, the Washington Post penned the article, "Trump greets King Charles at White House, hails U.S.-U.K. friendship", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Early Tuesday, Trump declared on social media that “I’ve always wanted to live in Buckingham Palace!!!”
That sounds like a declaration from the cheap seats and does nothing but continue to cause me embarrassment for our Republican party's representation of our Republic.

Tuesday, April 14, 2026

On 4-14-26, the Washington Post penned a contribution: "Opinion | The Justice Department’s position on presidential papers is astounding", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Let us recall why the DOJ's opinion is unremarkable. The law as written had decades of precedent involving past Presidents which have never challenged the laws meaning or application. An opinion from a mere lawyer at the Department of Justice at this time is just that. An opinion. Until that lawyer wears a black robe and handles a gavel of judicial authority their opinion is just an opinion and carries no more authority than an opinion from you or me. Why WAPO doesn't opine that fact of law to show the Trump administration's resident incompetency brings into question their journalistic obligation to keep the public informed, rather than giving legitimacy to the Trump lack of governance ability. But I thank them for not leading the article with still another pic of Trump or his collection of Dunces.

Tuesday, April 7, 2026

On 4-7-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "How a little-known contractor helped direct operations at FEMA for a year", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Hardly a day goes by without new discoveries of corruption and incompetence in the Trump run administration. While an impotent Congress sits on its hands, a Trump pocketed Supreme Court dishes up excused judgments (not thought-provoking interpretations of Constitutional law), and A biased and non-independent Department of Justice chases political foes (that are US citizens) for retribution sans justice. Trump is truly taking our government in a head-long crash to an “Evil Empire”. I for one citizen cannot remain silent any longer.

Sunday, April 5, 2026

On 4-5-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump threatens Iran with ‘Hell’ over Strait of Hormuz in profane post", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"...a crude and expletive-ladened post on Truth Social..." I guess that was necessary because the President ran out of diplomatic reasoning to justify his little ego-driven war. His claims of getting rid of this illegal regime aren't being reflected in the continuing air and missile strikes that seem to continuously count civilian deaths. The same game Putin plays in Ukraine that has earned him an outstanding warrant for war crimes by the Hauge.

Wednesday, April 1, 2026

On 4-1-26, (April Fool's Day), the Washington Post penned an article that: "Trump says he plans to attend Supreme Court hearing on birthright citizenship", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

What a horrible example of a morally corrupt and inelegantly unequipped spectator to have in the courtroom of our governments' ultimate legal representatives. What do you want to bet that he's just there to make with the intimidating stare.  (And as a footnote, it was noted that Trump showed up at 10:00 AM and left at 11:10 AM just as the ACLU was starting its arguments for the birthright decision)

Wednesday, March 25, 2026

On 3-25-26, the Washington Post penned the article that: "White House’s Iran memes horrify many veterans of U.S. wars", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

A president seeking war authorization SHOULD lay out the reasons for action and spell out his objectives. Trump failed to do either. Our ego driven and delusional president has taken us to war all on his own. Trump gives us every reason not to trust him yet demands unrepentant loyalty. He's turning our military defense forces into the same type of administration enforcement arm he created with the ICE thugs, only with a bigger mission.

Sunday, March 22, 2026

On 3-22-26, a Meta (Facebook) posting expressing displeasure with President Trump's remarks about the recent death of Robert Muller resulted in the following remark from the Enlighted Prisoner,

Trump's unhinged and petty remarks about the passing of Robert Muller that were expressed on the "Truth (Un)Social" social media platform, a business that is owned by the Trump organization and one that pays him for his use of it, truly represent what an unethical and totally vindictive mean-spirited individual he is. His record of actions disgracing the Constitutional duties and protocols for the elected office of President by abuse and misuse is only exceeded by the inactions of the elected members of Congress who refuse to hold him, his Administration and his Cabinet in Constitutional accountability. A duty which Congress has abandoned but is being pursued by our Judicial Branch, an independent Constitutional authority for the legal administration of our government.

Thursday, March 19, 2026

On 3-19-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "Trump threatens to blow up major Iranian gas field as energy prices soar higher", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Maybe it's time for a historical reminder. Remember the Berlin wall coming down? It was the poster event that announced the destruction of Russian's Communist government. The public perception was the failure of communisms' ideology when the actual cause was economic disaster. That's right, the arms race between the US and Russia had bankrupted the Russian economy. It was the later discoveries of Russia's vast oil and gas reserves that brought the country back and Putin's regime that created Russia's Oligarchy fussed totalitarian government.
Now, fast forward to the strategy being used to force the US into these expensive incursion wars that's rapidly burning up our military resources and the huge amounts of money going to our military Industrial complex to replenish those resources. Just thought I'd point out something overlooked about history effects.

On 3-19-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "Drones over base where Rubio, Hegseth live raise security concerns", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

This report was made for show and lacks substantive basis. No definitive evidence was offered to establish its authentication as threating. This is an example of WAPO adherence to the administration's gaslighting campaign and an example of appeasement reporting and the shame of compromised media.

Tuesday, March 17, 2026

On 3-17-26, the Washington Post penned an article that: "Judge reinstates 1,000 Voice of America employees, deems firings illegal", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Public opinion is in and reports, this is the most cruel and arrogant administration to ever run our government. But bad as that is, his first and now this Trump administration owns the title of most incompetent. And it's unfortunate we need wait for an election to punish an even more incompetent Congress.

On 3-15-26, the Washington Post penned an article that the "FCC chief threatens broadcasters as Trump criticizes coverage of Iran war", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

How rude and empty WAPO's coverage of news has become. The President gives a typical childish truth social network rant that shouldn't pass community guidelines, and you chose to make a headline story that does nothing but add to his list of embarrassing displays of communication incompetency.
I'd preferer to hear the intelligent wisdom of Dr. Martin Luther King included in your story who said, "It is immoral to seek the humiliation of an opponent rather than win his understanding."
But an immoral President is what our money infused elites bought for us, isn't it.

On 3-14-26, the Washington Post penned the article: "Trump says U.S. bombed Kharg Island, striking core of Iran’s oil economy", and on that date the Enlighted Prisoner responded thus:

Remember the "Pentagon Papers"? Those, (that a government employee snuck out to the media), that represented an analyzed evaluation by qualified people in the Pentagon. They said the US cannot affect a regime change nor win a costly ground battle to change the Communist government of Vietnam. The Republican administration, (of Richard Nixon), was forced to admit their own military and civilian advisors advised against warfare they couldn't win. But the Nixon folk kept the report secret and started one of the most prolonged and unpopular wars in our history. In fact, the Vietnam war was a huge expensive affair that started the national debt we have today. Well, the critical thinkers in the Pentagon also said the same thing about our "incursion", (War is such an untidy term), into Iran. And further that "incursions" into Venezuela and Cuba would also not result in regime change. But our President is mad because none of those "incursion" countries talk nice about him. And we're paying for his hissy-fit?

On 3-10-26, the Washington Post penned, (upon discovering) that now: "Pentagon says about 140 troops injured in war with Iran, 8 severely", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

The corruption of this administration has no boundaries. And frankly owns a huge national attitude for lack of confidence. What a time to have an impotent Congress.
