The hypocrisy of the cadre of elected Republican Congressional representatives that are in denial of the Trump implemented January 6th insurrection, can only be described as aiding and abetting an act of sedition against the Constitutional authority of the government they were elected to represent. 

And I, for one, am a willing US citizen who will sign the complaint for prosecution.

 Like me, are you getting concerned with these revelations that more and more secret investigations are being directed at Journalists?  So why are government's, (and those who practice criminal behavior), so intent on getting in the way of journalists practicing their trade?  

Could it be the fear for being unable to present honestly any reconciliation of accountability or responsible reason for their behavior?  Or, are they just wretched people that prefer to remain unchallenged?

Government secrecy for investigations already are at the height of absurdity.  There was a premise in the formations of this country that the common sense of the electorate deserves as much respect as judicial decision.  Isn't the Justice Department aware that time and again the electorate has opted for greater expansion of Sunshine Laws.  The rules of discovery are a fragile path to ensure the effectiveness of a democracy and their administration are too important to be left totally in the hands of lawyers.  But yet, here it is happening again.  And so it goes. 

 Now that's irony.  

 Apparently conservative radicals in the Republican Party believe they have bought and payed for the government they want.  And then somehow, put their belief in a leader that has stiffed or cheated on his business contracts, has an amazing capacity to lie incessantly, has no moral empathy for naught but his self-interests, and harbors a fear of intellectual honesty and those who are credentialed.  Why?  What possible motive drives this blind venture towards the destruction of our Republic?  (Enlightened Prisoner comment given on 7-11-21)

 Any elected official or candidate who espouses the Trump Big Lie of fraud elections needs to seriously study the Muller Report to realize the 2016 election was the result of interference by a foreign hostile government.  If there is an election to be declared fraud, that's the one.  Recall also, it was an election that Trump also lost the popular vote.  So, you are backing one of our county's most prolific liar's to every come down an escalator and claim an underserved title.  (Enlightened Prisoner comment offered on 7-6-21)

 Beginning to look like an organized insurrection, eh?  You know these things still must be accredited to a proposed reason.  United States citizens don't just up and physically attack other United States citizens because of being unhappy their favorite guy got his due.   (A comment by the Enlightened Prisoner on 7-1-21)

 

Like a courtroom, the efforts of Journalists are usually a record of discovery that reveals actual happenings to establish where the truth lies.  And like our Constitutional mandates, those of the press enjoy the same privilege of self-expression given every citizen of our country.  

To question that privilege or show disrespect for its effort, (as is so often done by those who have something to hide), instead of offering evidence to the contrary, is theatre.  That's right, the bully pulpit approach to attack the source lies bare naught but a motive to hide behind.  

Those of you who share that theatre deserve our shame.  It isn't accepted as defense in the courtroom and shouldn't be accepted in our court of public opinion either.  Grow up America.  (Enlightened Prisoner comment of 7-3-21)

 I have lived through 8 decades of United States history and cannot recall during that time the absolute idiotic and insulting remarks being made by petty politicians and news analysist about our military until Trump came along and empowered the most crass element of society we're ever known.  I am completely mystified at the rigidity of allegiance so many conservative Republicans have for Trump; a failed businessman, an uneducated man, a person of low (or no) morals, a person with no family values, a person of no religious faith, and a person who time and again has manipulated and misused rules and norms for personal gain at the expense of others.  His campaign that led to election was a staged media event and his administration of government before the overwhelming rejection of his public service was unremarkable.  And now, he and his cult seem unable to take no for an answer.  And why then is so much time, expense and effort being wasted to prove the disprovable?
