On 6-25-23, Washington Post Opinion writer Jennifer Rubin penned: "Sheldon Whitehouse was right all along: The Supreme Court is corrupt", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

Damn the "Citizens United" decision. Damn it to hell.

On 6-23-23, the Washington Post penned: "Supreme Court rules against Navajo Nation request for water rights" and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

And now, the Hopi & Navajo nations have learned what the rest of the nation has learned. There's a politically aligned movement of conservative and federalist minded people in this country that could care less about anyone who doesn't look and think like them. Particularly when it concerns something I've got and don't care to share.

On 6-23-23, the Seattle Times penned: "UW Medicine to bill patients for giving computerized on-line medical advice", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

One of our major political parties keeps insisting that our economy is in the dregs because of the other major political party. So just how much credit do you give government for our rapid rising prices? Well, the obvious has again been demonstrated by those not-for-profit, tax-supported UW Medicine's bean counters.

Blame for our economy's price faults? Right here, nothing but the continuing lack of functioning relationship with customers in favor of corporate greed for the echelon of those holding the purse strings. Kinda reminds me of the second most hated corporate example, the airlines industry who charges because we have the audacity to bring luggage with us on flights. Cramped into inadequate seating trying to enjoy our shrinking package of treats.

Well, if you think that's something government has responsibility to fix then you must feel that elected representative of yours is standing by to hear from you. No, wait, they're on the phone with the lobbyist from that big "Citizens United" corporate doner about next year's campaign donation, right?

On 6-19-23, the Washington Post penned, "Inflation Reduction Act foes race to repeal climate, drug pricing programs" and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

How come the Congressional elected don't let us electors know how much time and money is being spent on them by the lobby body? Why are we required to look it up? Why don't we get firsthand information on the impact of the "Citizens United" decision? Why indeed when you consider these reelection sugar daddies aren't even part of their Congressional district?

On 6-16-23, the Washington Post penned an Opinion | "As Trump is arrested, Republicans honor the insurrectionists", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"Technically, Gaetz couldn’t call such a hearing, because he isn’t a committee chairman. But House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, who is trying to win back the support of extremists such as Gaetz, let it happen anyway."

The silence that follows the motive for such actionable conduct can only be called 'Un-American". GOP complicity in displays of conduct that undermines responsible government and makes us look foolish in the eyes of the world can only be described as aiding and abetting the Communist aligned mission of destroying us from within.

On 6-10-23, the Washington Post published an Analysis on: | The three tiers of Donald Trump sycophancy, and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

What good can possibly come from supporting the likes of a Trump. After all the cause and effect of his motives is to burn down the current ways so he can stand on the ashes.  That's right, nothing has come as a plan for his claim of "Let's make American Great Again" except revenge for his belittling.

And he's still intent of trying to convince us of a non-existent ability to govern when his life's record is of failure after failure of any business endeavor except collecting rent from properties he's obtained under false pretenses.

On 5-29-23, the Washington Post penned an article Opinion | With this debt limit deal, Congress has beclowned itself, and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

It looks like everything that resulted from this Republican political theater called debt reduction are measures that would best be discussed and resolved at the time of annual Congressional budget hearings.

Pause and recall how the Republicans never come up with a workable budget proposal when required. Recall also that when the Republicans owned both legislative houses and the executive branch, little was ever proposed or done about debt reduction. Just like their false promise to tackle the infrastructure problems.

Pause and realize folks that an element of elected Republicans seem intent on creating this theater of chaos to appear like they're working to protect government when their motive really is working to project their image. One that is falsely projected as competence.

And now at a time our internal problems center on infrastructure, mental illness treatments, education and public safety, they want to increase spending for our war footing? For what, so they can again complain because other allied countries are not spending enough on theirs?

On 5-23-23, the Washington Post penned "House GOP chairman links his investigation to Biden’s poll numbers" and on that date a commentor penned:

"It should be painfully obvious by now to even the most cognitively challenged that Republicans in Congress are unable to perform their real jobs adequately due to their obsession to destroy their political enemies.

I see that as a symptom of emotional immaturity on their part."

And on the same date the Enlightened Prisoner commented:

Proof again that given a microphone and podium, politicians who only seek to curry favor will do whatever is necessary to expose themselves for how little they know and how little thought they put into what they say.

Gee, is there any way we could make that a factor of disqualification for public service?

(After all government agency employees would not be hired nor hold their job long if they displayed such conduct.)

On 5-17-23, the Washington Post penned: "Analysis | The truth about Russia, Trump and the 2016 election", and on that date the Enlightened Prisoner responded thus:

"Trump immediately rejected that conclusion, but both the Mueller report and the Senate investigation affirmed it. Mueller concluded that Russian government actors successfully hacked into computers and obtained emails from people associated with the Clinton campaign and Democratic Party organizations, and then publicly disseminated those materials through various intermediaries, including WikiLeaks, to sow discord in the United States, hurt Clinton and help Trump." (Wrote the Post)

Those of us who read both reports could not help but reach the same conclusion. A foreign government directly interfered in our 2016 Presidential election. Folks, that is a violation of federal laws on the books already.

It's time to resurrect these facts and establish once and for all that the 2016 election is null and void due to this evident conspiracy and declare candidate Trump illegally elected. Nullify his elected status. Anything less is an absurd abuse of our responsibility to our system of government.
